Your Position: Home > News > Weekly newsSamsung’s Galaxy Note 8 may be arriving at the end of next month. According to Korean news site the Bell (via The Investor), the company might unveil the successor to last year’s fiery disaster – the Note 7, if you didn’t already know – on August 23rd during an event in New York. The reason is due to the company attempting to meet an early release date for the phone, likely before Apple’s upcoming iPhone 8 takes the attention of everyone and every news outlet for the next month.
Of course, this might not be the safest route to take. A report surfaced last year stating that the reason the Note 7 went up in flames is because Samsung tried to beat the “dull” iPhone 7 to the market. If they do the same thing this year, they’ll risk having a relapse of what was probably their worst PR problem in company history. Then again, the company will be using their new three-point battery safety check on the note 8’s batteries to ensure they’re safe and proper for use, but considering their history, anything is a possibility at this point.
We’re a little over a month away from seeing the new Note 8 at this point so stay tuned to the site as we get more details on Samsung’s next flagship.
